Always a writer...
I've been writing in one form or another for more than twenty
years--books, articles, columns, beat reports, radio and TV,
marketing and PR collateral, poetry, fiction...it's all in my
portfolio. I've covered topics ranging the gamut from finance to
fashion to theater to alternative energy.

Background
Determined to ride the rails once my BA was in my bag, instead I
married an itinerant opera singer, traveled in style for a bit, ran
with the poetry pack in NYC, was an assistant to a few C-suite
bigwigs in the finance, fashion, and publishing industries where I
realized I liked--and was good at--project work, ran a copywriting
biz, became a mom, settled down, ran a PR and publishing
project management biz serving healthcare, finance, insurance,
and other industries, and all the while wrote and hosted for a
variety of media & publishing outlets whenever I could.

Writer, editor
In 2009, I turned full-time to writing and publishing.
As a writer, I freelance for a variety of publications, and offer
editorial services to book producers or other literary
establishments. I am also a regular contributor to
mediabistro.com, and a blogger at The Thoughts Shops for
writers and those who love them, and The WordBird Review, for
American culture watchers.

Publishing project manager
As a publishing project manager, I have an extensive and
talented network of associates to call upon whenever necessary.
Some books with my "fingerprints" on them can be reviewed on
my Books page.

Ask the right questions
Blessed with a knack for languages (I speak several), an ear for
accents, an eye for detail, a love of travel, and a general
willingness to try just about anything, it's all knit together by my
desire to "know stuff." In fact, my company owns the rights to the
phrase:
"We ask the right questions."

Other writerly adventures...
In the 1980's, I graduated from the creative writing program
founded in part by
The Art of Fiction's John Gardner. But it's only
recently that I have returned to writing fiction. I don't think
romantic suspense was exactly what my professors had in mind,
but I'm having fun...

While it's Paris that has my heart, I've lived a lot of places,
including London and NYC. Meanwhile, the New Jersey Pinelands,
where I live with my family and far too many pets to have
stupidly installed white carpet, is where I currently hang my
hat...collection.

And she's a damned fine--and fast--writer."
